About Sadhana
My name is Diana Melian, the heart behind Sadhana Yoga Therapy. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher by Alliance Yoga and a Certified Yoga Therapist in practicum, with over 1300 hours of education in different areas of Yoga and holistic healing, such as Ayurveda, herbology, somatic therapy, and myofascial release.
My journey into Yoga began due to severe scoliosis, a subsequent surgery, and intense physical pain. However, it took several years of practice for me to realize that my true reason for pursuing Yoga was to heal deeper layers of my being, which were manifesting physically as tension, pain, and discomfort. Through self-discovery, increased self-awareness, and a personalized practice (Sadhana), I addressed not only my physical ailments but also my mental, emotional, and relational patterns. This deeper healing was made possible with the guidance of my teachers and Yoga Therapist, who helped me harness the transformative power of Yoga.
I believe that life is shaped not by what happens to us, but by how we respond to those events. Our reactions ultimately determine the quality of our lives. My mission is to guide others through this realization and help them reeducate themselves by working with the body, breath, mind, and spirit regardless of their stage in life.
